Martha Sweezy, PhD, is an assistant professor, part-time, in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, a research and training consultant at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion at the Cambridge Health Alliance, and a psychotherapist with an online private practice. She teaches Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy nationally and internationally. Her most recent book is Internal Family Systems Therapy for Shame and Guilt. She has also co-authored five other books on IFS, co-edited two books on various applications of IFS, and published two peer-reviewed articles on IFS.
